Spanish Group on Adhesion and Adhesives (GEAA)

Message from our President

Welcome to the Spanish Group on Adhesion and Adhesives Group (GEAA) website. I would like to welcome you all on behalf of the Co-ordination Committee and myself.

Dear colleagues,

In 2017 I was re-elected President of the Spanish Group of Adhesion and Adhesives at the annual meeting thereof held in Porrino (Pontevedra). So, first I wish to thank all the members of the trust placed in me.

My first words must be of thanks to the retiring President, Prof. Juan Carlos Romero Real, the Secretariat and the previous Co-ordination Committee for the work done.

During the next four years of mandate, my main priorities will be two:

1. To maintain the current structure and extend knowledge GEAA Group to adhesives end-users, and if possible, get them integrated into it, which will allow us to emerge stronger from the current economic crisis.

2. To promote the establishment of new relationships with other companies and European and South American research groups related.

My mission is to consolidate the Spanish Group of Adhesion and Adhesives as a meeting place that allows us to improve our position in time to participate in projects both international, European, national and regional call . This will be achieved with the support of businesses and the complementarity of our R+D+i activities.

To attempt to carry out this project will work in collaboration with the Co-ordination Committee that I have designated, which consists of staff belonging to renowned universities , technological centers and companies, all related to the phenomenon of adhesion and adhesives.

Moreover, a form of collaboration that already launched the previous Presidency GEAA was the regular publication of a Newsletter. We are waiting for your contributions and information for dissemination to other members through this channel.

Finally, we hope that we count on your participation in the XX International Adhesion and Adhesives Conference to be held from 17 to 18 September 2019 in San Sebastian.

Thank you all and I wish you all success in your projects, sincerely.

Prof. Dr. Miguel Ángel Martínez Casanova
